Cultural orientation
Cultural orientation program provides newly arrived refugees children, youth, and families with important information about the Australian way of living, community’s history, culture/customs, values and intercultural connections to both culture and community. This will help reduce misunderstandings and conflicts and foster a more welcoming environment for both refugees and the Australian communities.
This program seek partnership with other local Government and non-government departments and agencies to increase safety, and sensitivity to structural injustices, promotion and preservation of human rights and wellbeing, which are important to our organization and the communities we care for. People who are marginalized and disadvantaged frequently deal with legal challenges that overlap with social issues, such as: domestic abuse, family breakup, financial difficulty, homelessness, unwarranted housing, health problems, including both physical and mental, substance abuse, which includes Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health issues. This project will deliver person-centred, holistic services that better meet the needs of young people, families and their communities and introduce legal education.
