Garage Sales
Masomo Mbele Foundation hold a series of garage sales for several reasons. However, this is where all our small funds to support our African Projects and initiatives come from. N.B: We never use our funds obtained in Australia for African’s project and initiatives.
- Fundraising: Garage sales provide MMF with a successful means to generate funds for multiple objectives. The money earned from these sales serves the purpose of supporting the most disadvantaged schools, vulnerable children, youth, orphans, and families in Africa. Additionally, it supports newly arrived refugees in Australia by fulfilling their basic needs and assisting the organization’s various activities and initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Organizing a garage sale always helps MMF connect with the local community. It provides an opportunity to interact with neighbours, build relationships, and increase awareness about Masomo Mbele’s goals and mission.
- Inventory Clearance: Sometimes, MMF accumulate excess or unused items, such as plants, office supplies, furniture, or equipment. Holding a garage sale allows us to declutter, free up space, and turn these items into revenue.
- Sustainable Practices: Garage sales promote sustainability by giving items a second life instead of ending up in the landfill. MMF committed to a greener approach as we choose to organize garage sales to encourage reuse and reduce waste.
